Ownerpicks is built for people who need to choose software without turning a vendor demo into a research project. Our standard is simple: make the decision legible.
How we evaluate software
- Define the job. We translate a keyword such as “CRM for roofers” into the workflow a team actually needs to improve.
- Check the evidence. We prefer official product and pricing pages, dated observations, product documentation, and hands-on testing where available.
- Compare the trade-offs. Tables summarize the decision, while the narrative explains where a feature matters and where it does not.
- State the limits. A recommendation includes the teams and situations where it is a poor fit.
- Keep it current. Prices, packaging, product capabilities, and links can change. Review dates are part of the page, not an afterthought.
What we do not do
We do not invent customer reviews, imply first-hand testing that did not happen, copy vendor claims as independent conclusions, or hide a paid relationship. Unknown stays unknown until it is checked.
